Our second Thanksgiving in Germany. Wow, time is flying, as we are always warned it will, but we somehow continue to be surprised when it happens. This year, more than any other, we’re reminded how much we have to be grateful for – and this year, those gratitudes are a lot simpler than perhaps in previous years. COVID has humbled us, and it’s taught us to live an overall simpler life – finding more joy and satisfaction in the ‘small things’ and putting aside some of the hamster-wheel activities that we used to busy ourselves with.
We miss family and friends more than ever – gosh, it has been a while! – but we are thankful for you each and every day. We are thankful that we can still connect with you in so many different ways. We look forward to that time when we can hug you all so tightly and for so long that it becomes uncomfortable. It is going to be awesome and I think we’d better bring some tissues. Until then, sending hugs across the miles, wishing you a very Happy Thanksgiving, and a wonderful start to the full holiday season.

Awe, Happy Thanksgiving! Love your perspective and, yes, can’t wait to see you guys!
